Visiting Service Armchair

If you often feel alone or if you know someone who would like to have a few more visits, please contact our Visitor Service.

The visitors of the Visiting Service Armchair are volunteer men and women. They regularly visit elderly people who live alone in Fürstenfeldbruck and Emmering.

The visits usually last one to two hours and can be quite different: conversations, walks, a card game ... depending on what will help those being visited.

Answers to your questions

No problem - if you don’t get along well with your visitor, we will find another visitor for you. But it may take a bit of time.

The visitor is not a housework assistant. It is not a problem to get something from the pharmacy once in a while or take a letter along to the mailbox. But such should be exceptions.

The purpose of the Visitor Service is to create a relationship between the visitor and the visited. This is only possible if the visits take place on a regular basis. Therefore, it is important that you have long-term availability. Small breaks, for your vacation, for example, are not a problem though.

If the chemistry is not right, we will find another person for you to visit. And please don’t worry, we will also find another visitor for the person you have previously visited.

We carefully prepare the volunteers for the visits and are always available with advice.
